An up-and-coming member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona could see his fine recent form rewarded by way of a call-up for Euro 2024.

That’s according to Relevo, who point towards Fermín López as the player in question.

Youngster Fermín is for his part of course in the midst of what has proven an impressive debut campaign in the first-team setup at Barcelona.

Afforded a chance to prove himself by boss Xavi, the 21-year-old has done precisely that, to carve out a regular role for himself in Catalunya’s capital.

Recent weeks have proven particularly noteworthy on Fermín’s part, with the Spaniard having notched four goals in his last six appearances, including a match-winning brace at Almería.

All told, this takes his tally for the campaign to double digits, as many as have been managed by João Félix, and one more than Raphinha.

And such production, it is claimed, could yet earn Fermín a spot at the upcoming European Championships.

As per the aforementioned Relevo, the midfield starlet is on the watchlist of Spain head coach Luis de la Fuente, with Fermín’s unique box-crashing characteristics making him an intriguing wildcard option for the summer.
