The powers that be at Barcelona have made their plans to offer up a cash-plus-player offer to La Liga rivals Valencia for Javi Guerra known to Los Che.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have on Wednesday provided an insight into the situation.
The name of midfielder Guerra has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the course of recent days.
As much comes amid mounting claims that the 21-year-old has been earmarked as a leading target to reinforce the engine room ranks of incoming Barcelona boss Hansi Flick.
Guerra is capable of lining out in a variety of positions in the middle of the park, a trait highly appreciated by all at the Camp Nou.
As per MD, sporting director Deco, in turn, has made first contacts with the board at Valencia.
Not only that, but during a recent ‘summit’ between the parties, the Portuguese outlined the conditions of a potential deal.
‘We can afford to hire Guerra not only by covering the entire transfer fee but also by reducing his price with the transfer of some players’, Deco explained.
And, in a boost to Barcelona’s prospects, Valencia, it is understood, were receptive to the idea of an exchange deal.
