As this season ends and the summer transfer window approaches, FC Barcelona are planning for their various moves in the market aimed at strengthening the team ahead of the next season.

In this regard, Xavi made his wishes clear in his last press conference as he told the reporters that he wants every position to be doubled, so there can be a high degree of competitiveness in the team, and there are ready replacements available for any players not enjoying full fitness.

As Barcelona cannot make a lot of signings because of their FFP problems, the returning loanees can also contribute in this regard, and this is clearly the case for the right-back Julian Araujo.

The Mexican has had a good season on loan at Las Palmas as he played under the former Barcelona Atletic coach, Garcia Pimienta, and remained a prominent part of his team.

The defender had been out with an injury for the last few weeks but returned to the starting lineup for Las Palmas as they faced Mallorca, and once again showed why he has been such an important player for Garcia Pimienta this season.

As SPORT has reported, the Mexican won eight out of his nine duels, got on the ball fifty-three times, lost it only seven times, made five clearances, and blocked one shot. However, beyond these statistics, the player also played with great intensity, without letting himself be beaten in a one-on-one situation, and was clearly 100% physically.

There are still three games that Araujo has to play with Las Palmas before he can return to Barcelona for the upcoming summer. However, once he comes back, he will be ready to fight for a place in Xavi’s squad, and his performances on loan provide enough encouragement for him to succeed in this endeavor.
