The info comes courtesy of Jijantes, who have unveiled footage of Barcelona sporting director Deco following Rafaela Pimenta and Maxwell into a restaurant in Catalunya.

Pimenta and Maxwell act as representatives for a whole host of players from across the continent.

But front and centre in the conversation on Wednesday was the future of the aforementioned Erling Haaland.

Frontman Haaland, of course, is currently plying his trade in England, with Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City. The Norwegian is fresh off another memorable outing in midweek, which saw him rack up five of City’s six goals en route to an FA Cup drubbing of Luton Town.

As much took Haaland’s tally for the campaign to a hefty 27 goals, in just 30 appearances.

And it is precisely this kind of production which has seen the name of the 23-year-old return to the forefront of the agenda at the aforementioned Barcelona.

As per Jijantes, Deco questioned the pairing of Pimenta and Maxwell on Haaland’s long-term future in Manchester earlier today.

This comes with the former Borussia Dortmund man, despite the club’s ongoing financial woes, maintaining his status as Barcelona president Joan Laporta’s ‘dream’ signing.

With Robert Lewandowski likely to depart the Camp Nou over the next couple of seasons, and Real Madrid all set to add Kylian Mbappé to their already star-studded attacking ranks this summer, it would appear that the brass at Barca are therefore eyeing what would represent a seismic splash in the transfer market in the not-so-distant future.
