The great virtues of FC Barcelona continue to include the dependence on their youth. Without La Masia and their young stars, Barça would cease to be the club that it is. Fortunately for Barcelona, that tradition and quality of youth stars continue to stay alive.

Every passing season, some new names emerge and make their own place in the team. Ansu Fati has done it in the past, and the likes of Gavi and Blade have also been there to join them. Even now, Lamine Yamal and Pau Cubarsi have become the latest acquisitions to the first team.

However, they will surely not be the last to become relevant to Barcelona moving forward. As highlighted by SPORT, new names and faces continue to join the first team. Now that the international break has ended, all the first team stars are returning to training but they are met by some of Africa’s best talents.

Both Mikayil Faye and Mamadou Mbacke Fall, two of Senegal’s finest young talents and the duo that keeps Barcelona Atletic safe, were present in the latest training session. Others such as Marc Casado and Diego Kochen were also there, but the two young defenders are clearly catching the most eyes.

Moreover, with Ronald Araujo and Andreas Christensen still recovering from slight discomforts, perhaps the two Senegalese defenders will be doing more than just showing up for training. The clash against Las Palmas is up next, before the grand encounter against PSG.

With Araujo having played a lot of games without rest this season, perhaps either of Faye or Mbacke could feature in the match at some point. Mikayil Faye has already debuted with the senior men’s national team for Senegal, and even topped it off with a wondrous goal from distance. For Barcelona, the presence of such great quality in their youth continues to be a blessing.
