Barcelona will be under a lot of pressure during the summer transfer window as they try to offload players timely and raise money through player sales to return to the 1:1 rule in La Liga and make signings.

However, selling players will not be easy.

While there are a few players, such as Clement Lenglet, Sergino Dest, and Eric Garcia who have had successful loan tenures and will likely head to the exit door, others such as Ansu Fati and Pablo Torre are facing an uncertain future.

Neither of the two have enjoyed particularly impressive loan spells at Brighton & Hove Albion and Girona, respectively, although the latter did recover to an extent during the second-half of the season.

Previous reports have suggested that Fati is ready to fight for his place under Xavi next season, but Torre might not get more minutes in a blaugrana shirt.

Barcelona decide to sell

According to a report published by SPORT, Barcelona have decided to listen to offers for Pablo Torre in the summer. The Spaniard will not have any place in the first-team next season, and could face the exit door.

The Catalans have decided to retain Gavi, Pedri, Ilkay Gundogan, Fermin Lopez, Sergi Roberto, and probably even Frenkie de Jong in addition to signing a pivot in the summer, which leaves no room for Torre.

In fact, Barça will also try to pursue the signing of Bernardo Silva, who has been explicitly requested by Xavi once again.

Torre does not have any lack of suitors in the market, with the likes of Betis, Real Sociedad, Mallorca, Valencia, and Villarreal all keeping tabs on him. Girona also want to retain his services, especially ahead of a Champions League season.

Torre must decide

While Torre seemed reluctant to leave Barcelona for Girona this season, he has ended up playing 24 matches this season – although, only four as a starter.

The decision now rests in his hand as Barça will likely discuss all potential offers they receive for him.

They do want to secure his future at the club in another way, though, which could be a motivating factor for Torre. A buy-back clause could be included in case he is sold, or simply full ownership in terms of a loan.
