La Liga giants Barcelona have been afforded a timely boost on the personnel front, ahead of their upcoming meeting with Deportivo Alavés.
This comes amid confirmation that defender Iñigo Martínez is fit and available for selection.
Defender Iñigo has for his part been on the sidelines for the last two weeks.
This comes owing to a hamstring injury suffered during a training session at The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.
A combination of Ronald Araújo and Eric García have since filled in in Hansi Flick’s backline, but, in truth, Iñigo’s excellence has been missed.
All of a Barcelona persuasion will in turn no doubt be delighted to hear of Iñigo’s return to fitness.
Speaking in his latest pre-match press conference ahead of facing Alavés on Sunday, Hansi Flick was asked for an update on the wellbeing of his defensive stalwart.
And Barca’s headmaster went on to confirm:
“Iñigo is back. We’re really happy to have him back.”
