In what comes as a big relief for Barcelona, the club is close to balancing its finances thanks to a major deal involving VIP seats at the Spotify Camp Nou.
According to SPORT, Barça’s financial auditor, Crowe Spain, will include the €100 million earned from leasing the rights to 457 VIP seats in this season’s budget.
This will help Barcelona get back to the 1:1 rule, which allows them to spend every euro they save or earn on player wages or transfers.
This news is a huge boost for Joan Laporta and the club’s management. After weeks of uncertainty over whether the club was within the 1:1 rule, Barcelona can now breathe easier.
The financial year for the 2024/25 season is ending soon, and the inclusion of this €100 million will clear a big hurdle, letting Barça operate normally in the transfer market again.
With this improved financial situation, Barcelona can now focus on offloading players to further ease their wage bill.

Players like Ansu Fati and Pablo Torre are already close to leaving, while others like Andreas Christensen or Marc-Andre ter Stegen could also be sold if needed.
These moves would give Barça the flexibility to bring in new players, such as Nico Williams, and register them without breaking LaLiga’s financial rules.
It is worth remembering that Barça were previously in the 1:1 rule during the winter transfer window when their former auditor included the €100 million from the VIP seats in the balance sheet, which La Liga accepted.
However, when Crowe Spain took over as auditor, they refused to include the amount because the VIP seats were not yet finished, and La Liga later informed Barça they were no longer compliant.
So far, Barcelona have collected €58 million of the agreed €100 million from two companies, namely, Forta Advisors Limited, which paid €28 million, and New Era Visionary Group, which paid €30 million.
But €42 million is still outstanding, and Barça are working hard to find investors to cover this amount.
