According to reports from Fichajes, Barcelona are interested in exploiting the current situation of Paulo Dybala at Juventus to sign him.

The Argentine forward has still not renewed with the Bianconeri over continued disagreements over salary differences amongst other reasons. Dybala’s contract currently ends in June 2022.

Given the low possibility of an agreement being reached and the forward renewing with his current club, he has attracted a lot of interest.

Dybala has shown to possess the quality that only a few can boast off in the attack. Having operated at the elite level for years, the player is well seasoned. However, he has not been in his best form over the past few years, a factor that significantly brings down his market value.

However, at just 27 years of age, Dybala promises at least five more seasons to hit his peak and stay at top-tier football. That said, he would be an ideal option to place in any intermediate-term plans.

Moreover, his positional similarity to former Barcelona captain and international teammate Lionel Messi adds substance to the story. Given Kun Aguero’s presence in the squad, it would not be difficult for the 27 years old to adapt.

Nevertheless, the financial situation in Barcelona is still not looking great. That said, such a big signing would be something better dreamt of than expected if it were not to be a free transfer.

It would be surprising to see the club spend funds to bring in a forward when there are other areas that need urgent repair. Further, Dybala’s lack of consistency could force the board into reconsideration.
