Barcelona are not giving up on the idea of signing Marcus Rashford. According to journalist Matteo Moretto, the club has kept the door open for the English forward, and talks could move forward in the next few days.

Manager Hansi Flick has reportedly approved the move, giving a clear green light to the potential arrival of the Manchester United star.

After missing out on Nico Williams, Barcelona are going back to older options they had previously considered.

Rashford is one of them, and although Luis Diaz is also on the list, the chances of the Colombian joining are not very high. Right now, Rashford is seen as a more realistic target.

Rashford himself is said to prefer a move to Barcelona. Talks are still active, and while nothing is final yet, there is a growing feeling that a deal could take shape in the coming weeks.

Marcus Rashford is currently facing a key moment in his career. He was absent from Manchester United’s pre-season training this week, which has only added fuel to the rumours.

As such, Ruben Amorim has told the club that Rashford does not fit into his plans.

This has made Rashford’s future at Old Trafford very uncertain, despite being under contract until 2028. United may be open to letting him go, with a loan deal looking like the most likely option.

Meanwhile, Fenerbahce have also entered the race. Their manager, Jose Mourinho, is pushing for a move, and club director Devin Ozek is expected to travel to England soon to try to seal the deal.

However, Barcelona are still watching the situation closely. If their plans to sign Diaz fall through, they could make a strong move for Rashford. As things stand, his arrival at the Camp Nou remains a real possibility.
