FC Barcelona continue to work towards creating a sustainable future for the club. At the moment, La Blaugrana remain cautious and are working on improving their current financial situation. While it is better than before, Barcelona are still in a position where they are restricted.
Ideally, the club would have wanted to be under the 1:1 rule by now, but it seems unlikely that it will happen unless Barça takes some actions themselves. For now, the possibility of a new high-value sale this summer is being considered to generate some revenue.

Fortunately, however, transfers are not the only way for any club to generate revenue or bring in new income. Sponsorships are often lucrative, and it is not too difficult for a club like Barcelona to use their influence and reach to secure good deals.
According to Mundo Deportivo, that is exactly what the club has managed to accomplish. Reportedly, Barcelona have reached an agreement to promote tourism in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and will receive a substantial amount for the next three years to feature a certain slogan on the sleeve of their new jersey.
As per MD, Barcelona will be receiving €10 million each year for the next three years to have the slogan ‘DRC, the Heart of Africa’ on their sleeve. In total, that would mean an income of €30 million would be generated over the next three years simply due to that new sponsorship agreement.
A significant sponsorship deal on its own, it will certainly be seen as a financial boost for Barcelona. After all, the club is trying what they can to return to the 1:1 rule, and such income will undoubtedly help in that regard and enable the club to operate more freely in the market.
This reported sponsorship was recently finalized when Didier Budumbu, the Minister of Sports and Tourism of the African country in question, came to Barcelona and concluded the deal. Beyond just the direct sponsorship, this deal will also reportedly include collaboration programs with Congolese schools via charitable projects linked with the Barça Foundation.
