Barcelona are moving fast in the transfer window and it is clear that their every target at this point is driven by purpose.

Joan Laporta and Co. have completed their first transfer of the summer in Joan Garcia, with the club making an official communication of his signing a while ago.

Meanwhile, the administration are working hard to secure agreements with other prime targets with Nico Williams being the first on the list.

Needless to say, manager Hansi Flick has a massive say on who the club’s primary targets should be this summer.

Meeting set

As relayed by Jijantes in a recent report, Barcelona’s sporting management have scheduled a meeting with Hansi Flick in Ibiza this week and are travelling to the destination where the coach is celebrating his vacation.

Sporting director Deco, Bojan Krkic and Alejandro Echevarria are all part of the delegation who have taken the midday flight to the island to meet with Flick.

The objective is to discuss the progress on the transfer front and update the manager on the situation of the current targets.

The report also provides an update that top target Nico Williams is also enjoying his vacation in Ibiza at the moment. It will not be surprising if Deco and Co. plan a meeting with the player as well.

It is clear that the primary goal of the delegation’s trip to Ibiza is to accelerate talks over Williams’ recruitment.

The player has made his intent to arrive in Catalonia very clear and the administration are happy with the steps he has taken.

There is still some way to go before Barcelona are stable enough to register him, but there is optimism that the deal can go through. After all, the Athletic Club star has even agreed to accept a lower salary to ensure his transfer goes through.
