Reports in Spain earlier this week suggested Barcelona are ready to sell Ivan Rakitić this summer.
And it seems the Croatian midfielder could be heading to Juventus in a deal which would see Douglas Costa moving in the opposite direction.
That’s according to Spanish outlet TV3, who report that Juve are ready to reignite their interest in Rakitić after being heavily linked with him in January.
And with a new wide-man likely to be on Barça’s agenda in the summer, it could be mutually beneficial for the two clubs to exchange players.
Rakitić has been at Camp Nou since joining from Sevilla in 2014 but the 32-year-old has made just 10 starts in all competitions so far this season, and failed to score in any of his appearances.
Costa, meanwhile, has struggled for fitness this term and made just 18 appearances due to various muscle injuries.
Perhaps a fresh start at new clubs would be the best thing for both players this summer.
