According to La Provence, Rennes and Marseille are discussing potential players who could join the Breton club as part of a deal that would see Amine Gouiri (24) move to OM. Three players who could be discussed as part of a deal are Bamo Meïté (23), Chancel Mbemba (30) and Ismaël Koné (22).

Following the departure of Elye Wahi to Frankfurt, Marseille are focusing on potential attacking reinforcements to replace the former Montpellier forward. Rennes’ Gouiri has emerged as the priority target to replace the Eintracht Frankfurt striker. The former Lyon attacker would appear to be open to a move but Les Olympiens may look to use other players in a deal to sign the Algerian international.

Other strikers considered

With Wahi departing the Stade Vélodrome, Roberto De Zerbi made it clear that he had been promised that a new striker would be signed before the end of the winter transfer window. Gouiri now appears to be the hottest file considered by OM, but other strikers have been considered. La Provence understands Santiago Gimenez, Mathys Tel and Brian Brobbey have also been considered.
