Atlético-MG president denies interest in Flamengo's Rodinei

The president of Atlético-MG, Sérgio Coelho, participated in a conference at the headquarters of the CBF in Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday morning.

Following his involvement, Coelho gave an interview to the newspaper O Globo and was asked about the rumours about Galo’s interest in Flamengo wing-back Rodinei.

Coelho claims to be unaware of the reports and further revealed that CEO Rodrigo Caetano has not discussed anything with him.

“I don’t know anything about it. We have two good wing-backs. If Caetano had known he would have told me too.”

The information about Atlético-MG’s interest in the Flamengo side was released by journalist Brenno Beretta last week. Rodinei’s contract is set to expire at the end of the year.
