Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman has been offered to Tottenham Hotspur, according to The Times journalist Gary Jacob.
The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club want another attacking player after signing Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig on Friday.
Bayern Munich wanted to sign the 27-year-old on loan with an option to buy, but his club have rejected the offer.
Lookman ended last season with 20 goals and seven assists in 40 appearances, and a move to Tottenham appeals to him.
The Nigerian international can play on both wings and through the middle, and Spurs manager Thomas Frank could do with his versatility.
The club want a forward and centre-back before Monday night’s transfer deadline, and they have also been looking at AC Milan attacker Rafael Leao.
However, a deal for the Portuguese would be difficult to complete before 7.00 pm, and a chance to sign Lookman has presented itself.
The London-born attacker is a brilliant finisher on his day, with his dribbling, pace, technical ability and passes being some of his major strengths.
Lookman has Premier League experience, having featured for Everton, Fulham and Leicester City.
He did not impress at any of those clubs, and he will be eager to prove what he is capable of doing in the best league on the planet if he joins Tottenham.
Lookman won the Europa League in 2024, scoring a hat-trick in the final against Bayer Leverkusen, and he is capable of replicating such moments of brilliance elsewhere.
Spurs could do with such a player within their ranks after the defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday exposed their need attacking reinforcements.
