In a recent report, Aksam stated that Aston Villa are keen on recruiting Fenerbahce star Ferdi Kadioglu this summer. It has been claimed that the Villans have set their sights on the Turkish defender at the end of this campaign.
The 24-year-old has enjoyed a promising season at the Turkish club as he has managed to put in a string of eye-catching displays from them on the left flank. Kadioglu has found the back of the net three times and earned four assists in 42 matches for Fenerbahce this season across all fronts.
The Turkish talent has been a reliable performer on the left wing based on his average of 1.9 tackles, 0.9 interceptions, 1.6 clearances, 0.8 shots, 1.3 key passes and 1.7 dribbles per game in the Turkish Super Lig. He has even been tidy when distributing the ball after making 84.5% of his attempted passes in the Turkish top tier (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at the Turkish club will run out in the summer of 2026 which could make it difficult for Aston Villa to sign him on a cut-price deal later this year.

Kadioglu is a decent tackler of the ball and can make some important interceptions for his team inside his half. He doesn’t mind clearing his lines when needed and can also make a few driving runs with the ball on the left flank.
The Turkish sensation is a decent playmaker in the opponent’s half and can shoot the ball with venom from long range. Kadioglu would enhance the quality of Aston Villa‘s defence and could help Unai Emery’s side cope with fixture congestion better in the coming years.
At 24, Kadioglu has his peak years ahead of him which makes him an ideal choice for the Villans to consider this summer. However, there are some concerns over whether Kadioglu can adapt to the physical side and high intensity of English football. Still, Aston Villa would be wise to move in for him in the upcoming transfer period as long as they can get him for a fair price.
