Wolfsburg faced competition from Arsenal to sign Mohamed Amoura from Union Saint-Gilloise in the summer, according to kicker, and now the Algerian attacker is excelling in the Bundesliga. The 24-year-old, who will join VfL on a permanent basis for €15m, has scored eight and created seven in 16 league games under Ralph Hasenhüttl.
Amoura scored a brace in Wolfsburg’s 3-2 defeat against Bayern Munich on Saturday, his second double of the season with his previous coming against RB Leipzig. The Algeria international also enjoyed a magnificent start to the season, assisting in four successive Bundesliga games.
There’s nothing to say that Amoura will remain at Wolfsburg next season, but kicker further add that if the Algerian was to depart, then offers upwards of €40m could make VfL think about a sale. Since November, Amoura has six goals in his last seven Bundesliga games.
