Scorers: Mead 5â€Č, Miedema 44, 69â€Č, Carvalho Souza 54â€Č

Arsenal were dominant throughout and showed their dominance over their rivals from the very first minute.

It was Euro-winner Beth Mead who opened the scoring, the Arsenal number nine curling home a wonderful finish from the left-hand side after her initial effort was deflected back to her in the box.

Just as it seemed like Tottenham were growing into the game, Vivianne Miedema pounced on a defensive error in the Spurs backline and made no mistake with the finish.

Jonas Eidevall’s side were in no mood to relent, as Leah Williamson’s defensive partner Rafaelle Souza made it 3-0 with an impressive header from a corner.

Arsenal were really asserting their dominance, and Miedema added her second with a glancing header from a set-piece to make it 4-0 before the 70 minute mark.

Spurs moved Ashleigh Neville further forward late on and she almost set up a decent chance for substitute Ramona Petzelberger, but it wasn’t to be for the away side.
