Thursday night has seen Arsenal give an official update on the injury and fitness situation at their club, ahead of Saturday’s game.
Arsenal taking on Newcastle United at the Emirates, the match a 12.30pm kick-off.
The Gunners confirm that two players definitely won’t be available, with Sead Kolasinac and Granit Xhaka both ruled out.
However, Arsenal then state that: ‘All other players in the men’s first-team squad are currently fit and available for selection.’
So Mikel Arteta looks to have an almost full squad to select from against Newcastle United.
Arsenal give official Thursday night injury and fitness update ahead of Newcastle United match on Saturday – 25 November 2021:
Left ankle. Sead sustained a significant injury to his left ankle playing for Bosnia and Herzegovina during the November international period.
Sead is progressing well in the early stages of his rehabilitation with the current aim to be back in full training in January.
Granit Xhaka
Right knee. Granit is continuing to make good progress in his recovery from a medial knee ligament injury sustained on September 26.
Granit has progressed his recovery to running outside, with the aim to now be back in full training in December.
All other players in the men’s first-team squad are currently fit and available for selection.
