After significantly aggravating the problem during the defeat at Manchester United earlier this month, he underwent surgery to repair a damaged groin tendon.

The operation in London took place this week and was a success, with Smith Rowe already beginning his rehabilitation.

The club estimate that he will return to full training in December and could be in line to return to action following the conclusion of the World Cup.
