Anthony Gordon: Everton fan drops kid getting winger's shirt after Leeds draw

An Everton fan went to extreme lengths in order to get Anthony Gordon’s shirt after The Toffees’ 1-1 draw against Leeds United on Tuesday evening.
Gordon is regarded as a hero by Everton fans.
The 21-year-old, who came through the club’s youth system, has emerged into one of Everton’s best players.
And he showed why he is so highly regarded in Everton’s Premier League clash against Leeds at Elland Road.
Gordon notched the opener after 17 minutes. Alex Iwobi sent Gordon clear on goal and the winger kept his composure when one vs one with Illan Meslier.
Everton could not hold on to their lead, though, with Luis Sinisterra’s 55th minute strike restoring parity.
Neither side could find a winner as the spoils were shared.
There was an unusual moment after the final whistle when an Everton fan appeared to drop a kid in a desperate attempt to get Gordon’s shirt.
Gordon took his shirt off and made his way to the travelling supporters.
A man appeared to nudge a youngster onto the pitch to get Gordon’s shirt. It is unknown whether the youngster was his child or not.
Stewards apprehended the youngster and gave him back to the man.
Gordon saw the whole incident and gave the man and the child his shirt.
But, as Gordon was giving them his shirt, the Everton fan leaned in for a hug and dropped the child on the floor.

Fortunately, the child appeared to be fine.
Pictures have emerged after the game appearing to show the child proudly wearing Gordon’s shirt with a beaming smile on his face.
The game against Leeds may have been Gordon’s last in an Everton shirt.
The England U21 international has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea in recent years.
Everton fans will be hoping that they can keep on to their prized asset.
