Ansu Fati has spoken in the post-match interview after Barcelona’s 5-1 victory over Ferencvaros. The 17-year-old continues to break records, now becoming the only under-18 player in history to score 2 goals in a Champions League game.

“It was a great score. We must continue working. We want to win everything. The sky is the limit for us.

Despite his brilliant display, Fati stayed humble, and praised his team-mates:

“De Jong did everything in my goal; I just had to tap the ball in. My teammates make it easier for me to score.

“Messi is Messi, he can pass you the ball at any moment, we are very happy to be with him we should always learn from the best.”

Even though it’s never right to compare any player to Leo, especially in his early days, stats that show up are bringing excitement to Culés, as the 17-year-old now has 1 more goal (12) than Messi (11) at 19 years old.

Barcelona will play Real Madrid in 5 days, and the 17-year-old seems more than ready to feature in his first Clasico:

“I have always dreamt of playing the Clásico, and I hope I play it. We are all excited to play against Madrid.”

We will have to wait and see whether Koeman will use Ansu in his line-up against Real Madrid, but one thing is obvious: his display against Ferencvaros is screaming for a call.
