The ties for the 2023/24 UEFA Champions League semi-finals are set. Real Madrid will lock horns with Bayern Munich in the European Clásico while PSG will be facing off against Borussia Dortmund.

Real Madrid made it to the final four of the competition by outsing reigning champions Manchester City via penalty shootouts after a hard-fought battle at the Etihad Stadium last night.

It set up a mouth-watering encounter against Thomas Tuchel’s Bayern Munich, who also eliminated a Premier League in Arsenal last night.

Two of the most successful teams in Europe going up against one another in a dream semi-final is certainly an enticing prospect for fans.

Harry Kane excited about facing Jude Bellingham

The game also happens to generate a lot of excitement among the players as well, as Bayern Munich goal machine Harry Kane alluded to during a chat with Hayters TV recently.

The England captain will come up against his international teammate, Jude Bellingham, in one of the biggest fixtures of the season in less than a couple of weeks.

And Kane stated that it is going to be a war against Bellingham and Real Madrid when they cross paths in the UCL semi-finals.

“For sure, Jude has had a fantastic season, he’s a really top player so I’m obviously happy for him. But it will be another war against his team,” he remarked.

Discussing their career paths, Kane added: “These are the experiences I think we both went abroad to try and achieve, to play in these big nights in the Champions League and play in big semi-finals so of course it will be one to enjoy for both of us.

“I’m sure there will be a lot of English fans watching both of us as well but we just have to focus on ourselves. Of course, I’ll say hello but once we’re both out on the pitch it’s about doing our best for the team.”

It must be remembered that Kane had been linked with a move to Real Madrid in the summer following Karim Benzema’s exit, but nothing came of it and he opted to join Bayern Munich.

As for Bellingham, he is no stranger to facing Bayern Munich, having gone to war against them during his time at Borussia Dortmund.

Having seen the Bavarians cost him the Bundesliga title last season, the 20-year-old will likely have revenge on his mind when he faces them again, this time in the whites of Real Madrid.
