We are delighted to confirm that Celtic FC Women forward Amy Gallacher has signed a new three-year deal with the club that will see her remain in the Hoops until 2027.

Making the best possible start to life as a Celtic player, scoring a double on her competitive debut against her former side, Gallacher played a major role in helping the Celts to Scottish Cup success last season, lifting the trophy at Hampden Park.

Following a brilliant first campaign with the club, the Scotland internationalist has continued to go from strength to strength in the Hoops and currently leads the way as top scorer in the SWPL.

Not only does the striker have a knack for important goals including strikes against Rangers and Glasgow City, but she plays a major attacking role, collecting a total of 46 goal contributions in 32 appearances this campaign.

Speaking after putting to paper on a new deal, Gallacher said: “I’m very happy to have signed a new three-year deal.

“I’m really enjoying my football at the moment. So I’m just delighted to have extended my stay and I’m looking forward to the future.

‘I’ve loved my past couple of years here. So it was an easy decision to stay’

“I’m really loving playing under Elena (Sadiku) as well. So I’m looking forward to what is ahead now.

“She is a great young manager. You can see her passion, she has got big ambitions and a great vision for the club. So it’s exciting.

“I love scoring and creating goals. That is something that I want to continue doing over the next few years.”

Cheer on the Ghirls as they return to Paradise

With each game proving crucial in the title race and another huge three points up for grabs, the Ghirls need your support.

Having played in front of the Celtic faithful at Paradise, Gallacher is hoping the fans can play their part once more, saying: “It’s a busy few weeks for us. Obviously we’ve got a some big games coming up, with one of those coming at Celtic Park against Hearts this Sunday.

“We want as many fans as possible here to cheer us on for the win.”
