Olympique Lyonnais striker Alexandre Lacazette (32) missed Thursday’s training session, just days after sitting out the team’s 3-0 defeat to RC Lens at Groupama Stadium on Sunday, reports L’Équipe.

The French forward had to be substituted after picking up an injury in the Coupe de France penalty shootout win over RC Strasbourg on February 27. Lyon manager Pierre Sage is treading carefully, proclaiming himself to be “Less optimistic than last week” about the former Arsenal man’s potential involvement in Saturday’s trip to FC Lorient.

As well as Lacazette, Belgian midfielder Orel Mangala (25) and Argentinian left-back Nicolas Tagliafico (31) are also doubts for Saturday’s game, with both suffering from minor knocks that will be assessed the day before the game.

Aside from Sunday’s defeat to Lens, Les Gones have been in good form recently, winning seven and losing just three of their past ten games in all competitions, climbing up to 11th place in the Ligue 1 standings.

Pierre Sage’s side travel to 13th placed Lorient on Saturday, kick off is at 4pm GMT.
