As per De Telegraaf and VoetbalPrimeur, Ajax director Marijn Beuker is currently in Japan to watch two talented youngsters. They are 18-year-old striker Gaku Nawata and 17-year-old goalkeeper Rui Araki.

The two will quickly get the chance to earn a contract with Ajax during a trial period in Amsterdam. Nawata and Araki currently play for Gamba Osaka, a partner club of the Amsterdammers.

They are widely seen as two of their nation’s best young talents and have both gone through all the youth teams of Japan before already making their debut at the highest level in the country.

Beuker is in Japan to watch players for the collaboration with Osaka, but he is also there to support a number of Dutch players.

On the 10th of June, Beuker will be present as Patrick Kluivert’s Indonesia will play a World Cup qualifier against Japan. It is not known whether more players from Osaka will come on trial with Ajax. Araki and Nawata will train with John Heitinga’s selection for the first 10 days of pre-season.
