Wrexham's stunning story continued last week, after a 6-0 win at the Racecourse secured back to back promotions and a rise into the third tier for the first time since 2005.

For the Welsh side, they need to begin planning for their upcoming season in League One as they hope to make a good start to life in a strong league.

The financial muscle of their club has been put into play in recent seasons, with the signings of Paul Mullin and Steven Fletcher particularly standing out.

With a spree of transfers likely to continue, here are five signings they could make ahead of their next campaign:

Benji Magee

With the average age of Wrexham's side being the second oldest in League Two currently, the opportunity to sign a younger player is something they may grasp at.

Northern Irish forward Benji Magee, then, is the perfect player for the Red Dragons to bring in as they look to bolster their attack.

Magee has notched 18 goals and one assist in all competitions for NIFL side Loughall and is out of contract in the summer, so no significant fee would be needed for the 21-year-old.

With Wrexham among others reportedly keeping tabs on the forward, it would be no surprise to see him line up alongside Paul Mullin next year.

Jonson Clarke-Harris

If Wrexham want to sign a striker who will undoubtedly secure them goals at League One level, then they should look no further than Clarke-Harris.

Having already been linked with the forward in the January transfer window, it would be an ideal time to go back in for the 29-year-old who is out of contract at Peterborough in the summer.

With an astonishing record of 107 goals in 276 games in the third tier, they will certainly have to fight off interest from elsewhere to secure his services.

But, the financial muscle of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney may just be enough to see him make the move to North Wales.

Marvin Johnson

A more trademark signing from Ryan Reynolds is that of an experienced campaigner, and Sheffield Wednesday wing-back Johnson could be the perfect option.

Having been promoted with the Owls from League One last season, the 33-year-old is well versed in what is required to get a team up to the second tier.

Along with this, having played predominantly on the left side of a back five, he will fit into Parkinson's system perfectly and can supplement James McClean or start ahead of him.

Should the out-of-contract Johnson sign at the Racecourse, it would be no surprise, and he would be a top addition to an already experienced squad.

Arthur Okonkwo

The most realistic signing on this list, Arthur Okonkwo, has enjoyed a stellar season on loan from Arsenal and this transfer is one that could certainly become permanent in the summer.

According to the Independent, the Red Dragons are very interested in pursuing a deal and, to boost their chances, his contract is due to run out in June. Truthfully, it is no surprise that they want to re-sign the 22-year-old.

He has proved a revelation with the highest save percentage in the league and the second-highest goals prevented, keeping out 9.4 less than expected, according to FotMob. Speaking to Goal, Okonkwo said: "Arsenal is still my dream", but it would be no shock to see Wrexham's number 33 become their number one.

Cheyenne Dunkley

Finally, we have Chey Dunkley. The Shrewsbury captain has endured a difficult season at Salop and with their restructuring, it seems unlikely they will be able to meet his wage demands in search of a new contract.

His ability to thrive in a back three system, along with leadership skills in a division where he is well versed, could be something that Parkinson may identify as important. Furthermore, the big defender certainly has an eye for goal, notching 22 in his last five League One campaigns, a very impressive tally.

Coming towards the twilight of his career, this move would certainly make sense and Dunkley would likely jump at the chance of lining up in Parkinson's back three.
