Tottenham Hotspur slip to sixth in the Premier League table after a dismal 1-0 defeat to West Ham on Sunday. It was a bizarre win for the Hammers, who were not at their very best, but a 72nd-minute strike from Michail Antonio was enough to help them seal all three points. Their opponent, meanwhile, struggled to create scoring opportunities despite having more possession throughout the game.

Tottenham Hotspur Player Ratings Vs West Ham

Hugo Lloris 7.5/10

Hugo Lloris was one of the better performers for Tottenham Hotspur, as he did make multiple saves and remained alert, especially when dealing with the opponent’s long balls.

Emerson Royal 6/10

Starting ahead of Japhet Tanganga, Emerson Royal didn’t exactly have a bad game. He was decent in dealing with the attacking pressure of West Ham, but struggled to offer anything going forward.

Cristian Romero 7/10

Cristian Romero was decent at the heart of the Tottenham backline. He certainly had his task cut out against the West Ham attack, but the Argentine did well for the most part, despite the occasional rustiness.

Eric Dier 7.5/10

Eric Dier offered good defensive coverage to Romero. It was very important in denying West Ham the opportunity to make an impact going forward.

Sergio Reguilon 6/10

Sergio Reguilon tried this best to create scoring opportunities using his darting runs forward. Defensively, he didn’t have the best of nights, though, often getting hurried and hassled.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg 6.5/10

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg had a good game for Tottenham in the middle of the park. He kept fighting until the very end, preventing the opposition from dominating the game.

Oliver Skipp 7/10

Oliver Skipp also put in a good shift in the Spurs midfield. He offered good support to Hojbjerg, adding that extra effectiveness in possession as well as being vital to his team’s build-up play.

Lucas Moura 6/10

Lucas Moura offered an excellent work ethic as usual, but he was highly ineffective with his forays down the flanks. Although he was quite active, the Brazilian never really managed to produce the end product.

Tanguy Ndombele 6/10

Tanguy Ndombele looked dangerous at times, especially in the possession phases. However, West Ham’s tactical game denied him the opportunity to hover around the final third.

Son Heung-Min 5/10

Son Heung-Min endured a quiet game for Tottenham this evening. He was anonymous for the large parts of the game, failing to test the West Ham defenders and often lacking decision making in the final third.

Harry Kane 5/10

It was yet another poor performance from Harry Kane, who struggled to establish himself as a reliable target man in the middle.
