It is the first time Sky will use the gantry level “railcam” and the Premier League are set to make the system available to all of their broadcasting partners, both domestically and abroad.

Speaking on the matter, Premier League head of media operations and innovation, Rachel Nightingale said: “The Premier League is always looking for ways to enhance the broadcast experience for fans around the world.”

The camera angle was trialed previously in Arsenal’s Women’s Super League opening day loss to Liverpool on October 1st.

While the alternative feed of the game will air in the United Kingdom on Sky Sports Football, the standard and traditional coverage will still be available on Sky Sports Premier League.
