Serie A out of contract XI: 11 players available as free agents as of July 1 | OneFootball

Several Serie A players’ contracts came to an official end on June 30, so here is a list of some of the more high-profile players currently available as free agents as of Monday.

A handful of players have been arranged into a (very) makeshift XI, although admittedly there is an overload of left-backs available on the free agent market. They include Alex Sandro, formerly of Juventus, Leonardo Spinazzola, formerly of Roma and Ricardo Rodriguez, formerly of Torino.

On the opposite flank, there is former Juventus and Inter veteran Juan Cuadrado, who is the natural selection at right wing-back in a 5-4-1 system. Simon Kjaer, formerly of Milan, will take on his usual position at centre-back.

There are also a handful of exciting midfielders who have technically become free agents. France international Adrien Rabiot is likely the most valuable player on this list. He is yet to come to an agreement with Juventus over an extension to the one-year deal he signed last summer.

Among the midfielders, there is also Piotr Zielinski, who is technically a free agent, although he is set to join Inter, as was reported several months ago. Former Fiorentina veteran Giacomo Bonaventura makes the list, as does ex-Inter man Stefano Sensi.

That leaves one position available for the forwards, and former Inter star Alexis Sanchez is the one who has made the cut in this imaginary XI.

Some of these players may still agree to extend their contracts with their most recent Serie A employers.
