The sale of Denzel Dumfries for his €25 million release clause would be worth around €29 million to Inter Milan.
Italian outlet Calcio e Finanza add together the capital gain the Nerazzurri would make as well as the savings on the Dutchman’s wages.
Inter Milan are considering the possibility that they could lose Denzel Dumfries this summer.
The Nerazzurri will not lose the Dutchman for free. He signed a contract extension last year.
However, that new deal includes a release clause of €25 million.
Moreover, Inter are aware that Dumfries is not altogether happy with the harsh words from Inter captain Lautaro Martinez last week.
Then, there is the fact that Dumfries has changed his agent to Jorge Mendes. That could very well be a signal of intent to leave the club this summer.

Inter Milan are waiting to see if any clubs move in for Dumfries.
The fact that the 29-year-old’s release clause expires on the 15th of this month means that if anything is top happen, it has to happen soon.
Rumours indicate that Premier League giants Manchester City are keen on Dumfries. Then, Barcelona are also linked with the former PSV wingback.
Considering the release clause, there is no question about what the fee Inter would receive for Dumfries in the event of a sale is.
Then, Calcio e Finanza, Dumfries’s book value with his recent contract extension is €1.8 million. That is because Inter are spreading the roughly €14 million they paid PSV in 2021 over a further three years.
Then, Inter would save on Dumfries’s wages. The Dutchman earns €5.2 million net at the club. And because of the Growth Decree, Inter only pay €600,000 in taxes on his gross wages, taking them to €5.8 million.
Accordingly, Inter would save a total of €29 million between player amortization costs and wages next season.
