La Liga giants Real Madrid’s chances of landing Alphonso Davies from Bayern Munich, all of a sudden, appear to have been afforded a boost.

This comes amid claims that the Canadian is in fact increasingly likely to be on the move this summer.

The name of defender Davies has of course long positioned itself centre stage in the headlines in Madrid.

This comes amid long-standing speculation that the 23-year-old remains front and centre on the wishlist of the Santiago Bernabéu brass.

Bayern Munich, for their part, remain committed to tying Davies down to a new contract, ahead of the expiration of his current terms in 12 months’ time.

If the latest word to have come to the fore on Sunday is anything to go by, however, then the efforts of the Bavarians could well prove to be in vain.

As per a report from Georg Holzner of German outlet Kicker:

‘The current trend for Alphonso Davies is that he will leave the club this summer.’

And Real Madrid, as things stand, look the clear-cut favourites to close a deal for the signature of the explosive left-back.
