QPR and Stoke City want to sign Clermont’s Habib Keïta | OneFootball

Queens Park Rangers (QPR) and Stoke City are two of several EFL Championship sides interested in signing Clermont Foot midfielder Habib Keïta (23), according to a report from L’Équipe.

Keïta joined Clermont Foot from Olympique Lyonnais back in 2023 for a nominal fee. Following the club’s relegation to Ligue 2 the season prior, the Malian midfielder featured prominently last season. He made 30 appearances for Les Auvergnats across all competitions, however, he was dropped for the club’s final five games of the season after he made the decision to change his agent.

The decision to change agents ahead of the summer transfer window suggests he has designs on a move. English clubs are interested in the midfielder. L’Équipe understands that there is a good chance Keïta will leave Clermont this summer, despite the player’s contract running until 2027. QPR and Stoke City are admirers, but there are other, for now unnamed, Championship sides in the race.
