My Moment of 2024 – Scottish Cup Final celebrations at Hampden

My Moment of the year? It has to be what happened after Adam Idah’s Scottish Cup Final winner that clinched the double…

We had plenty to cheer about in 2024, winning the title, the Scottish Cup, some great displays on the European front and of course the recent Premier Sports League cup final penalty shoot-out win which is still fresh in the memory.

The best moment for me however is that afternoon in May when we beat theRangers courtesy of a late Adam Idah goal to win the Scottish Cup and clinch the domestic double.

Going into the game we had of course proven that we were the best side in the country yet again by winning the league title, but this was a chance to end the season on a high by winning yet more silverware and putting our rivals back in their box once again.

A win for the Ibrox side would have given them the momentum heading into the summer while it would have dampened our spirits slightly so a win was vital, and win we did after a tense 90 plus serval minutes of added time as we clinched our 42nd Scottish cup and 13th double in the clubs illustrious 134 year unbroken history.

Idah’s shot hit the back of the net

The moment Adam Idah’s shot hit the back of the net at Hampden was a very special moment in 2024 as far as supporting Celtic is concerned. The winner apart, the most memorable moment for me was the team and management staff celebrating together in unison with the supporters at the end of the game.

That image for me summed up our year, a collective effort from the manager his staff, the players and of course the supporters. That win was all down to each and every single one of us.
