With the transfer window now in full flow, Luke Williams will be looking to add some new signings in the near future as Swansea City look to move up the table in his first full season in charge.

The Swans improved after Williams' arrival despite some early heavy defeats, and towards the end of the season Swansea looked like a decent side, but it's clear they have work to do in the transfer window.

There are still some glaring holes in Swansea's squad, particularly in key positions, so Williams will certainly need to make some signings by the time the Championship season gets underway on August 10th.

With that in mind, here are 3 shrewd signings Swansea should look to secure before the August 30th deadline.

Lukas Jensen

Swansea City are desperately in need of a goalkeeper, preferably a long-term permanent one following Carl Rushworth's loan spell coming to an end, and Lincoln City man Lukas Jensen fits the bill perfectly.

The 25-year-old is still young for a goalkeeper but the man from Denmark impressed in his first season with the Imps after previously coming through the ranks at Burnley.

Jensen played 50 times in all competitions for Lincoln last season, keeping 21 clean sheets, and conceding 43 goals, an impressive ratio and he should be on Swansea's radar this summer after winning the Player of the Season award at Sincil Bank.

The former Burnley man spent time on loan with Carlisle and Accrington Stanley during his time with the Clarets, and with just one year left on his deal at Lincoln, he should be affordable for Swansea if they wish to sign him.

Alex Mighten

Swansea City are in need of a winger this summer and Nottingham Forest man Alex Mighten could prove a suitable signing, with the 22-year-old having plenty of Championship experience.

Mighten has just one year left on his deal at the City Ground so he should be available for a small fee, and he's seemingly got no future at the club, having spent the 2023/24 season on loan with KV Kortrijk and Port Vale.

Williams addressed Swansea's need to sign wingers in January by signing Ronald and Przemyslaw Placheta, but the latter has departed after the expiration of his short-term deal.

Ronald has made the right-wing spot his own, but Mighten is a left-winger and could bolster Swansea's squad without costing a fortune.

The 22-year-old has played 55 games in the Championship for Forest, registering four goals and two assists, and it's not unfair to say that he needs to move from Forest this summer to get his career back on track.

Macaulay Langstaff

A natural suggestion given the fact his former boss, Williams, is at Swansea, but the Swans need a proven goalscorer this summer, and Macaulay Langstaff could be that man.

He scored 28 goals in 46 League Two games for Notts County last season, making him the division's top scorer, and with Liam Cullen, Jerry Yates, and Mykola Kukharevych all failing to score on a regular basis for Swansea last season, a move for Langstaff makes sense.

Of course, there are concerns over signing a 27-year-old who has never played at a higher level than League Two before, but scoring 28 goals in his first season in the EFL warrants a move to a higher division, and Williams will certainly be able to get the best out of him.

Langstaff was recently handed the captaincy at Meadow Lane, so it remains to be seen whether he'd be keen on a move, but you'd have thought the chance to reunite with Williams in the Championship could just be too tempting for the 27-year-old.
