The Tigers' transfer activity has been well-documented throughout the summer after the club were handed a three-window transfer fee restriction in July - a punishment which was later reduced to two windows - with Sergej Jakirovic and the hierarchy forced to work in extremely strict conditions as they aim to move the club up the Championship table.

There has been plenty of change at the MKM Stadium over the course of the window, with several outgoings being replaced by free transfers and loan deals such as the captures of Oli McBurnie, John Lundstram, Semi Ajayi and the returning Joe Gelhardt among others.

However, interest has been rife in both Pandur and fellow prized asset, Charlie Hughes.

Yet, after an underwhelming 4-2 defeat to Bristol City at Ashton Gate over the weekend, City supporters will be mightily relieved to learn that their first-choice goalkeeper is set to stay put, despite strong interest from divisional rivals and top-flight sides both in England and across the continent.

Pandur has been City's 'number one' since August 2024, making his debut for the club seven months after an initial £1.5m move from Eredivisie outfit, Fortuna Sittard under the management of Liam Rosenior.

Despite Hull's struggles in the Championship last term under Tim Walter and Ruben Selles - which resulted in a final-day goal-difference escape from relegation to League One - the Croatian scooped three awards, including the club's 'Player of the Year' after an accumulation of six clean sheets and many standout performances.

Interest in the 25-year-old has surfaced at various points across the summer window, with the likes of Parma, Middlesbrough, Leicester City, Werder Bremen and West Ham United all linked with potential moves.

Following claims that Middlesbrough were prepared to pay up to £5m for his services, Alan Nixon reported that a potential swap-deal involving Pandur and Seny Dieng was a possibility, as well as a potential move to the Foxes.

However, despite initial suggestions that Pandur could have been moved on in order to aid City's well-documented financial issues, Hull Live have reported that he, alongside Hughes, are expected to remain in Black and Amber heading into Autumn.

The report states that all of Middlesbrough, Leicester and Bremen were all keen on making a move for the former youth international.

However, all have opted to turn their attention elsewhere after the respective clubs were unable to meet City's £5m valuation, which comes as a major boost to Jakirovic heading into a four-month period where no business can be conducted except emergency loans and free transfers.

It had also recently been reported that Pandur is settled in HU3 and has expressed no intention of leaving the club despite the uncertainty which clouds over the MKM from a financial sense at this moment in time.

This will only further increase his rapport with supporters, as well as City's chances of progressing up the table after a dismal showing last campaign.

Despite shipping seven goals in the previous two encounters against the Robins and Blackburn Rovers, Pandur has shown on several occasions that he is a dependable shot-stopper for the level.

It would also have seemed unnecessary for Hull to cash in unless a sufficient offer was made by the aforementioned clubs, with the club rather short on depth, quality and experience between the sticks beyond the Croatian and summer recruit, Dillon Phillips.
