La Liga champions Barcelona have this weekend parted ways with a member of the club’s reserve team setup.
The player in question? Raúl Dacosta.
Attacker Dacosta for his part only made the move to Catalunya’s capital in the summer of 2024.
And after an early injury setback, the 23-year-old soon established himself as an important figure in the first-choice XI of Barca Atlètic.
All told, over the course of last season, Dacosta racked up 27 appearances (24 starts), chipping in with a goal and two assists along the way.
After Barcelona’s reserve team were relegated to the 4th tier of Spanish football, however, the winger, like so many of his teammates, saw his future thrown up in the air.
And as alluded to above, this weekend, as much has culminated in Dacosta bringing a close to the short-lived Blaugrana chapter of his career.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:
‘FC Barcelona and Racing Club de Ferrol have reached an agreement for the transfer of Raúl Dacosta to the Galician team, which will play in the First Division RFEF in the 2025/26 season. The club is reserving a percentage of any future sale of the forward.’
