Paris Saint-Germain have crashed out of the Champions League semi-final in a 1-0 defeat to Borussia Dortmund (2-0 on aggregate). The Bundesliga side had never beaten PSG in France, they had never even scored at the Parc des Princes, but that was to change tonight.

There was to be no repeat of the 2020 Round of 16 when PSG turned around a 2-1 defeat at the Signal Iduna Park with a 2-0 victory at the Parc des Princes. Les Parisiens tried their hardest to break through the Dortmund defence but continuously found themselves hitting the woodwork.

Old wounds from that 2020 meeting were hard to forget for the German side as they celebrated reaching the final. The English Twitter account for Dortmund was quick to settle some old scores. Quote tweeting a picture from when PSG beat Dortmund with the mocking caption “Tastes like fine wine.”
