Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins is the top-performing player in the game this season, with a remarkable 31 goals and assists in 29 appearances. He has six goals and assists in the last five gameweeks and notched an assist in the reverse fixture against Wolves earlier in the season. Eight shots on target in the last four gameweeks is the leading tally among forwards in the game.
Alexander Isak has had his fair share of fitness issues this season, but he has an exemplary record when he does feature, with 12 goals from 20 appearances. He’s started each of Newcastle’s last three games, with two goals in that time and, with Callum Wilson ruled out long-term, Isak’s starting position should remain steady as well as his status on spot-kicks.
Tottenham have won their last six home games ahead of the visit of Luton Town, with playmaker James Maddison one of three assets making this top 10. Maddison has chalked up one goal and three assists in seven starts since returning from injury and provided the assist in the reverse of this fixture back in Gameweek 8, where Tottenham won 1-0.
Despite five consecutive blanks, Brentford’s Ivan Toney continues to be backed by the AI predictions ahead of the visit of Manchester United. He has the pedigree in this fixture, scoring in a 3-1 defeat in 2021/22 and providing two assists in the 4-0 win at the beginning of last season. Manchester United haven’t kept a clean sheet on the road in 2024, while Toney has spot-kick duties.
Richarlison returned from injury to feature against Fulham last time out and may now be set for another spell playing as an out of position striker in the Tottenham squad. He scored nine goals in 10 starts in the middle period of the season and could be a formidable fantasy force if he were to regain that form again this week. He sits top for big chances on goal among Tottenham players, with 15.
Nicolas Jackson carries an appealing prospect against Burnley this weekend, having scored in the 4-1 win against them earlier this season. He is perhaps a better pick in Fantasy Challenge than the main FPL game since he sits on nine yellow cards, and one more over his next couple of games will result in a two-match suspension. He has delivered three attacking returns in his last three games.
Mohamed Salah is back fully fit and back in this top 10 after a lengthy absence, vying for top spot on equal points with both Son Heung-min and Erling Haaland. He has the most goal involvements of any midfielder this season with 24. Salah also scored a brace against Brighton earlier this season and his routes to points are plentiful since he is also on penalties for Liverpool.
Tottenham captain Son Heung-min is also vying for our captain’s armband this week given his recent form, with two goals and two assists in four Premier League starts since returning from the Asian Cup. He sits top for big chances created over the last three gameweeks with five, while he’s also had three big chances on goal himself. Opponents Luton Town are without a clean sheet on the road this season.
Manchester City’s Erling Haaland narrowly edges out his rivals to top spot in this top 10 and he’s the leading captaincy pick. He’s the sole representative of the huge clash at the top of the table as the Treble-winners entertain the league leaders Arsenal, showing his calibre to perform in any game. He has two goals and two assists from three Premier League appearances against the Gunners.
