Igli Tare spoke clearly and opened the door to the Artem Dovbyk exchange with Santiago Gimenez, but it’s not just down to the Milan striker, as Roma have their doubts too.
The Rossoneri director gave an interview just minutes before kick-off at the Stadio Via del Mare this evening, confirming that the Rossoneri are pushing to enact the swap of strikers.
Perhaps it was not the best idea to confess that when Gimenez was in the starting XI leading the Milan attack against Lecce, you could call it a bit of a transfer own goal.

The Dovbyk idea came from the same agent-intermediary who brought him to Italy in the first place and has an excellent rapport with Milan.
Clearly, the decisions are all still to be made, but it is not just Gimenez who needs to be convinced.
So far, the Mexico international has always slammed the door shut on leaving Milan, but Gian Piero Gasperini has his doubts that this swap would benefit Roma too.
These are going to be some tense days building up to the transfer deadline.
