Roma have decided to part ways with Artem Dovbyk, even on loan; a swap deal involving Santiago Gimenez is possible on paper, but the Milan striker is reluctant to accept it.
Ukraine international Dovbyk is set to leave Roma before the end of the summer transfer window.

The former La Liga Pichici is deemed incompatible with Gian Piero Gasperini’s playing style, and sources tell me that Roma are even prepared to send the striker out on loan for the 2025-26 season.
Even the player has realised that he’d get little playing time under the new Roma coach, so his agents and the club are looking for a new destination.
The Giallorossi are open to discussing a swap deal with Milan involving Gimenez, but the Mexico international is unlikely to accept the move to the Stadio Olimpico.

Until Thursday night, Gimenez had not opened the door to a possible transfer to Roma.
It can’t be ruled out, however, that Milan would sign Dovbyk even without selling Gimenez, or that Villarreal will resume talks for the Roma striker.
Surely, however, the Giallorossi are prepared to part ways with the ex-Girona star.
