It will be an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object as Bayern Munich’s attack faces Inter Milan’s defense in the Champions League.
This is the view in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.
This month’s Champions League quarterfinal tie between Bayern Munich and Inter Milan won’t be a simple matter of attack versus defense.
Inter hardly have a lack of potency in attack – they are the most prolific side in Serie A, and have scored for fun in the Champions League.
And Bayern, for their part, boast an extremely formidable defense both domestically and in Europe.
But the Bavarians’ real strength has been their attack. At times, it has looked downright unstoppable.
As Tuttosport note, Bayern have scored a total of 81 goals in the Bundesliga this season. 46 have come from their fourteen matches at the Allianz Arena, where they’ll host Inter tomorrow.
Across all competitions, the German giants have scored an eye-watering 117 goals in 43 matches.
It certainly would not be wise to bet against Bayern finding the back of the net against Inter.

But if any team is going to keep this Bayern side at bay, it is probably Inter.
The Nerazzurri boast the most impenetrable defense in the Champions League this season.
Remarkably, Inter have conceded just twice in the whole of the competition. They’ve played ten matches so far.
Of particular note have been flawless defensive performances against the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal.
From the individual quality in the back three to the organization of the team as a whole, Inter’s defense has been nothing short of a wall.
And the availability of Alessandro Bastoni is certainly a major boost in that regard.
In Serie A, things have been shakier.
The Nerazzurri have not had the solidity that they had last season. In their last 22 league matches they’ve conceded thirty.
But Inter’s defense has always risen to the occasion in Europe so far.
And Bayern are just about the perfect team to put that to the test.
