Manchester United are hoping to have Jadon Sancho off their books once and for all when the window closes in just under three weeks’ time.
It’s been yet another summer-long saga involving Sancho after he played for United in pre-season last year before signing for Chelsea on loan on deadline day. The deal did involve a £25 million obligation for the Blues to activate upon the culmination of his spell, yet they instead decided to fork out a £5m penalty to send him back to Manchester in June.
Unlike this time last year, the club opted against utilising the winger in their 2025/2026 preparations. He formed one fifth of Ruben Amorim’s ‘bomb squad’ at Old Trafford, along with Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, Tyrell Malacia and the Barcelona-bound Marcus Rashford.

Reports have suggested that Sancho has been on the radar of a host of sides in recent months, though none have gone as far as submitting a formal proposal or bid.
Juventus were thought to be the most keen on sanctioning his arrival, but they have since prioritised the signing of Ademola Lookman, leaving their Sancho interest on the back burner. In turn, United are likely starting to sweat over his situation, given he has now entered the final 12 months of his contract.
This week, journalist Sami Mokbel suggested that, despite the lack of noise surrounding the 25-year-old, he is still poised to sever his ties with United before the end of the month – presumably via a Serie A switch to the Allianz Stadium.
“I think his future is coming to a close,” Mokbel said of Sancho, via TuttoJuve. “He can leave Manchester United, that is no secret. Juventus is an option, but we are still wondering why an agreement has not been reached yet, given United’s willingness to sell.”
