Premier League Preview: The fans’ view – Manchester United

What lessons need to be learned from last season?

The team need to stick together as a team, act how a Manchester United player should act on and off the pitch, and not give up when it gets hard.

What’s your view on the manager?

I think he’s the man to take the club back to Premier League glory. He’s a very forward-thinking manager and has clear tactics and values that he doesn’t move away from. The players seem to love him, as do all the fans. He’s the man.

What’s your verdict on the summer transfer window so far?

I think the window has been amazing for United. We haven’t done what we normally do and panic buy, or go for a player to sell shirts. The board have made sure the players firstly wants to play for us, then gone for them. From what I’ve seen in pre season, they’ve fit in perfectly from the get go. Hopefully Carlos Baleba next…

One player to watch from your club this season?

I’m excited to watch Benjamin Sesko. He’s been talked about for a long time and was on Arsenal’s radar earlier in the summer. Quick, tall and technical, here’s hoping he can give us a presence that was lacking upfront last season. We lacked threat last season but the new signings should fix that.

The most underrated player at your club is…

Leny Yoro. I think he will have a break through season this season and show everyone how good of a centre-back he really is.

The game you’re most looking forward to is…

Always two games, derby day and Liverpool. Major rivalries always the best ones, and it’s good to have Leeds back in the Premier League.

What opposition player do you secretly admire?

I would say Mohamed Salah, the guy just keeps banging in numbers every season. Always good for the FPL team, a proper pro, and an absolute goal machine. I can see him breaking the Premier League goal record.

This season your team will finish…

I’m always delusional and like to think we can win the league!

However, if I’m being realistic I think we’ll sneak top four this season. The team is much more together and a style of play is definitely emerging, so yes, top four and back in the Champions League.
