Bryan Cristante is no longer a key part of Roma’s future plans.
The Italian midfielder can already say goodbye to the Giallorossi in January, as soon as he recovers from his ankle injury.
Today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport suggests that Cristante may return to Milan after all, given that the Rossoneri are strenuously looking for a player who can give Reijnders and Fofana a rest in rotation.
To make this possible, however, it will depend on Alexis Saelemaekers: Roma wants to keep the Belgian attacker.
For this reason they want to offer Cristante in exchange to keep the 25-year-old Belgian on a permanent basis.
Otherwise, to keep Saelemaekers at Trigoria, Roma will have to shell out a minimum of 15-18 million euros, in order to satisfy the demands of the Milan board.
Discussions are underway between the two clubs.
