Report – Man City Still Considering Activating €25M Release Clause For Inter Milan Star | OneFootball

Man City are reportedly still considering activating the release clause of Inter Milan wingback Denzel Dumfries.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Inter Milan are considering the possibility that they could lose Denzel Dumfries this summer.

The Nerazzurri will not lose the Dutchman for free. He signed a contract extension last year.

However, that new deal includes a release clause of €25 million.

Moreover, Inter are aware that Dumfries is not altogether happy with the harsh words from Inter captain Lautaro Martinez earlier this week.

Then, there is the fact that Dumfries has changed his agent to Jorge Mendes. That could very well be a signal of intent to leave the club this summer.

Inter Milan are waiting to see if any clubs move in for Dumfries.

Barcelona have certainly shown an interest in signing the Netherlands international.

However, it looks to be Premier League giants Manchester City who have really shown an interest in signing Dumfries.

The Cityzens have already made a number of big signings this summer. However, right-back is one area in which they have yet to strengthen.

Moreover, there is the fact that Dumfries’s release clause does not expire until the end of July. Therefore, Inter will face a nervous wait to see whether City decide to move before then.
