Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. has beaten out the competition, to secure the award for Champions League Player of the Week.
As much was made official across UEFA’s social media platforms a short time ago.
Vinícius, for his part, is of course fresh off a showing for the ages, on Tuesday night.
With his side trailing by two goals to nil at home to German heavyweights Borussia Dortmund, the Brazilian took the game by the scruff of the neck, notching a 2nd-half hat-trick en route to an eventual 5-2 triumph.
And as much, as alluded to above, has proven enough to see Vinícius secure more votes than any other player, on his way to Champions League Player of the Week honours.
Elsewhere on the shortlist, Barcelona standout Raphinha, as expected, slots in in 2nd, with AS Monaco’s Takumi Minamino in 3rd, and AC Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders rounding things out in 4th.
