Over the past few days, Real Madrid have endured a nightmare in terms of injuries as several players have been ruled out of the remainder of the campaign.
Indeed, after Eduardo Camavinga last week, this week saw Antonio Rudiger, Ferland Mendy, and David Alaba suffer injuries and undergo surgery – putting them out of action for an extended period.
The spate of injuries have left Carlo Ancelotti’s defensive department to bare bones, given that Eder Militao and Dani Carvajal are also still not ready.
As reported earlier in the week, Jacobo Ramon is likely to get some prominence in the first-team setup amidst all the injuries.
Now, Jorge C Picon reports that another Real Madrid academy talent, Lorenzo Aguado, is also in contention to feature for the senior team through the ongoing injury crisis.

Primarily a right-back, Aguado is a versatile operator capable of playing even as a left-back and centre-back, which makes him a valuable commodity.
After all, Real Madrid are left with Lucas Vazquez as the only natural right-back in the squad while Fran Garcia is the only left-back and Raul Asencio and Jesus Vallejo are the only centre-backs.
Aguado has already made his senior debut for Real Madrid this season, featuring in the Copa del Rey clash against Deportiva Minera back in January. Following that, the youngster even made a couple of substitute appearances in La Liga.
The La Fabrica graduate now stands a chance of being called up to the senior setup in the final stages of the season.
