Real Madrid’s ongoing left-back conundrum was always going to have an impact on the future of Fran Garcia.

Re-signed from Rayo Vallecano for a fee of just €5 million last summer, Garcia was unable to make a meaningful impact at Santiago Bernabeu.

Now, with Real Madrid determined to sign Alphonso Davies in order to beef up the left-back department, the future of Fran Garcia come under the microscope.

In a major development, Real Madrid appear to have already put Fran Garcia up for sale ahead of the summer transfer window.

This is as per reports carried by SPORT, which suggests Garcia has become the collateral damage of an ongoing tussle of ideas between Carlo Ancelotti and President Florentino Perez.

Ancelotti wants to continue with Ferland Mendy for at least another season, whereas Perez is determined to sign Davies as soon as possible.

Should Real Madrid end up signing Davies this summer, Garcia would fall further down the pecking order. As such, Los Blancos are ready to get rid of the young left-back in the coming summer.

How will will Real Madrid make?

As per the report, Real Madrid are valuing Fran Garcia at around €12 million, even though the player’s Transfermarkt value stands at €15 million.

It seems the European giants are ready to offload Garcia on a cut-price deal in order to make way for Alphonso Davies.

It is already clear that Ancelotti does not trust Garcia and even if Real Madrid fail to sign Davies this summer, the Spaniard might not receive much game-time.

A departure from the Santiago Bernabeu this summer could mark a significant downfall for Fran Garcia, who had made his debut for the Spanish national team in October of last year.
